I am tagged by Purnima.. I love to read her blog so when she tagged I did take out some time to answer her tag.. My answers below will be evident whats on my mind..

I AM THINKING ABOUT : Why am I so uninterested to complete the work that is scheduled to be done till tomorrow morning?

I SAID : duh! I don't want to work anymore.. but I have to..

I WANT TO : go home in Dombivli , Maharashtra, India...

I WISH : I could fly and reach home now!

I WONDER : Why did I agree to come here in first place :-)

I REGRET : getting angry and frustrated when I have too much to do in too little time.. and after I have wasted a lot of time on unnecessary things

I HEAR : news right now about the inflation in India and commodities shortage..

I AM : BORED... TIRED.. Complaining..

I DANCE : when no one is looking

I SING : when a song starts playing in my mind

I CRY
: almost on any occasion - it could be watching a senti scene in a movie ( I had tears while watching OSO ) or I could be absolutely angry and most when I am chatting at home..

I AM NOT : well since last 3 days.. got Jabardast Jukam and Khatarnaak Khasi.. have recovered 90% now..

I MAKE WITH MY HANDS : Chapati dough .. Software Engineer ke life me apne haathonse kuch banane ka mauka hi kahan milta hai .. haathon ko keyboard aur mouse se fursat mile tab na ..

I WRITE : whatever hits me hard.. hard enough to set me writing..

I CONFUSE
: emotions with everything.. life and work, friends and colleagues, personal relations and professional relations..

I NEED : a break and don't know how to have it..

I TAG : No One and Everyone - No one specific and Everyone who wants to take it.

Love Story

This isn't a story if you are looking for one.. This is about the book I came across.

Love Story by Erich Segal is a wonderful little love-story. Its a story that can happen in any country, in any decade and with anyone. A straightforward story narrated vividly!

It struck me for its simplicity. The initial sparks between Jenny and Oliver , the constant intellectual tussle between these two and the bluntness in expressing their feelings to each other. Their will to follow their heart, and then take responsibility for everything that happens after that.

Its the story of a couple who meets in their college days, starts on a quarreling note yet feels the impulse to continue to be together, slowly realises that they like each other in a different way and understand each other in the way they don't understand themselves. Due to disparities in family statuses, don't get approval from one side, and go on to marry sacrificing their dreams and then slowly start adjusting to reality and then reach a comfortable place slowly and surely. The story then takes filmy turn and the heroine gets a incurable disease and takes a graceful exit teaching her husband to love his own father whom he never respected or was even on normal speaking terms with.

The height of this Love story is the definition of love which-as it indicates-is true for every relation..

Love means not ever having to say you are sorry.

I am thankful to my friend who recommended this book to me..

Waiting for the time to "Spring Forward"

An interesting thing for me , who was born and brought up in a country where there is a single time zone and the time is constant -- Daylight Saving Time

In US :
In Spring , the time changes from 1:59 am to 3:00 am .. Springs forward and in Fall, the time changes from 1:59 am to 1:00 am

Its interesting to see the effort Humans put to control The Time, which is considered as the fixed fourth dimension of life.
and its more interesting how humans cope with this change.
- Trains , to save money on schedule printing, run late when Spring time changes and Stop for an hour in Fall to catch up the original time.
- Computer Servers , if not correctly patched, run scheduled jobs at different time, disrupting schedules
More interesting facts on
http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/k.html

Hey it just happened :-) I stayed up to see how clocks change.. My Cable TV clock changed from 1:59 to 3:00 .. While my Cell phone company dint .. its 2:02 am when it should be 3:02.

I actually wanted to see this change of time .. I am yet to check the servers I manage , They had missed the time during the Fall change.

Poor my friend, his wife has job at 7 am , we just had a party till 12 at his home.. They were already sad about one hour less sleep.. and they were going to rely on the same cell phone company.. I hope the Cell phone company wakes up to the correct time soon!

I know this post doesnt have anything except few random thoughts on the DST. But still , its my blog and so I can write any stuff! ( I know you are reading the right word :P)

Piggy Bank

My Roomie and I were looking for Birthday gift for a little girl who is now turning EIGHT.. The eight is in Caps as the little girls likes to pretend to be older than her age :-)
After a little thought for her craze for dancing and coloring, and her trying-to-be-older-than-her-age attitude, we chose to give her some sensible gift , a Piggy bank.. Something which will help her learn that little by little one can build up a fortune.
So "Do deewane sheher me , Raat me aur do peher me" started looking for a nice little piggy bank.
In US , we generally look for things in the Mall or the super-stores which boast
"We sell for less"
"All the Ingredients"
"Where It Begins"
"Its All Inside"
"
Don't stop living in the red"

So we went on the search .. Initially we had thought its going to be easy. But soon we found out that searching a Piggy Bank is like searching a needle in Haystack.
Toy-stores ? One of them had really ugly piggy banks or miniature locker-cupboards for Coin savers.
The store of world-famous Children's entertainers who say "Its a small world" dont keep piggy bank or even a mousy bank.
Card Stores? They have piggy bank marked "For our first baby", "Daughter's College fund", "You are turning 70" ,
Super stores -- Only one of them had Piggy bank which was huge enough to be a Pumpkin was too costly to be fit for a Piggy bank.
So after roaming in the mall for 3 hours, in a superstore for 1 hour and another for 1/2 hour in another store we dint buy anything :-(

Just a day before the birthday, we picked up some toy and gifted it to her.
Fortunately the little girl liked it!!
